Hi Sara! Introduce yourself and your ornaments.
Several years ago I decided to make my favorite Christmas ornament for my college roommates. Since then I've continued to make good things for good people. From ornaments to cards, and calendars to paintings, I find great joy in the handmade touch of gifts for those you care about.
Beyond the ornaments you created for Cardinal, where can people purchase your items?
If anyone is interested in purchasing some of my other creations, direct message me on Instagram (@sara_onholiday) for more information!
Where are you from? Where have you lived?
I'm from Bethlehem, PA - The Christmas City! But I've lived in Indianapolis, IN, for over 7 years.
Tell us about a skill that you have, other than being an awesome artisan!
The kitchen is my happy place. Cooking and baking are another form of art that fill my cup.
What inspires your art?
I always peruse vintage stores for inspiration. And Pinterest - I live on Pinterest. My goal is always to create something that makes you smile and gives you a nostalgic feeling.
It's happy hour. What are you drinking?
Ideally an ice-cold margarita. Not too sweet, an extra squeeze of lime.
What's your coffee order?
Piping hot. Black. In a great mug. Not too big, not too small.
Tell us about a podcast, movie, book, TV show, album, subscription, etc. that you consumed and liked! We're all looking for good recs right now!
I recently saw Unstuck In Time, a documentary about the life of Kurt Vonnegut. I didn't grow up reading his books, but I've read a few recently and this is a story of friendship will inspire anyone.
What's your favorite midnight snack?
I normally have a salty tooth over a sweet tooth, but at midnight it would be a hardfought battle between potato chips and freshly-baked dark chocolate chip cookies.
Favorite condiment?
Ketchup. No question about it.
Want to give a shout-out to anyone?
I wouldn't be here without @ta_nk 's neverending encouragement and support. And photography skills!
Thanks, Sara! You made such special ornaments for us this year!
