Hopscotch Coffee — our favorite coffee shop, and they’re our neighbors, too: less than a block from Cardinal Spirits. To eat: Vegan baked goods, Italian pastries, bagels.
The Inkwell — (on the downtown square) a quick spot for a hot breakfast and salads/sandwiches for lunch. Also: Scones, muffins, homemade pop tarts.
Cup & Kettle Tea — (downtown) massive tea selection and pastries, too.
Two Sticks Bakery — (downtown) a few blocks south of downtown, the best and most Instagrammable pastries and sweets around! Solid coffee, too.

Oliver Winery — (just north of Bloomington) Indiana’s oldest winery and one of the largest wineries in the country. Beautiful property and tasting room.
Upland Brewing Co. — (downtown) one of Indiana’s largest and most award-winning breweries. Its sours program is especially notable and fun and one-of-a-kind.
Function Brewing — (downtown) quintessential nano-brewery where all the beers are made in the basement by the owner.
Switchyard Brewing — (downtown) Bloomington’s newest brewery
The Tap — (on the downtown square) GABF-award winning brewery and beer bar
